Founded in 1930, Sargent Art is the leading supplier of quality art materials to the educational and retail markets throughout the United States. Only the finest materials are used to manufacture Sargent Art ® products, and because children use our crayons, paints and other art materials, all products are certified non-toxic.
Since 1936, Sargent Art has been an established member of the Art and Creative Materials Institute (ACMI).
With a fast-moving product line from inception to packaging and merchandising, Sargent Art ® puts extensive research and teamwork into manufacturing and marketing its products. We carefully research the market to ensure each Sargent Art ® product meets customer needs and a market exists for every Sargent Art ® product. The result is a full line of fast moving, profitable, economical and attractively packaged product choices, including top quality crayons, paints, pencils, markers, watercolors, pastels, glues, clays and paint accessories like canvas, brushes palettes and more.
Safety is our ultimate concern and we make sure our products conform to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and are 100% safe and non-toxic. To assure we hold the highest standards in the industry we have updated our production equipment, implemented new operational procedures and continue to provide the highest quality safety training for our staff. We internally test every batch of paint manufactured in our Hazleton PA plant and retain the necessary lab samples. Plus, over and above the standard requirements we frequently voluntarily do third party testing. Safety is our priority.
